Tijan Masanneh Ceesay is an acclaimed Gambian Journalist and Public Speaker who has also been dubbed “Gambia’s best living orator”. He hails from Niumi in the Central River Division and is the grandson of the legendary Masanneh Ceesay. He took to the Gambian airwaves at age fourteen as a sports commentator; the youngest in African history. He served with distinction as First Secretary responsible for Consular Matters and Public Policy at The Gambia mission in Washington, DC from 2003 to 2007.

Tijan is a passionate writer and a regular contributor on many journals on African subject matter. He served as Script writer for the award winning documentary entitled, “The Gambia, the smiling coast”. He is author of the top selling book on Gambian soccer, “An   Insiders Review of Gambian Football”.  Today, he is a valuable source of reference for many journalists in The Gambia.
